PIN’s platform intelligently matches large FMCG brands with PIN’s own members, who are consumers that have provided PIN with comprehensive personal data about themselves and their spending habits. In return for the data they provide, PIN’s members receive free samples of products already available in-store or access to products ahead of their store release, while the FMCG brands receive detailed insights, product reviews and feedback and social media engagement, all of which assist in driving sales uplift.

In addition to revenues derived from the FMCG brands for providing these services, PIN is able to further ‘monetise’ its member audience through performance-based online advertising (which involves PIN promoting third party advertisements on its website or to its members) and survey-based revenue streams (which involve PIN members completing third party online surveys).

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Member numbers up 10% to 5.3m (31 December 2018: 4.8m);
  • Sampling programs up 84% to 156 programs (compared to 85 programs in H1 2018) across 26 manufacturers;
  • Revenue was down 10% to US$4.0 million (vs H1 2018: US$4.3m);
  • EBT loss of US$2.1m (H1 2018: US$2.5m); and
  • Cash at 30 June 2018 was US$1.1m, with no debt.

PIN has recently entered into three new partnerships to accelerate the monetisation of the Company’s data analytics:

  • Digital Bavarian – A Portland-based digital media agency with over 20 years of experience has been engaged to generate opportunities within the healthcare industry, where the agency has numerous existing key relationships.
  • TRAK Data – A Toronto-based direct mail and digital marketing agency, focused on connecting PIN with new data sales and monetisation opportunities. TRAK Data’s unique expertise in audience modelling and segmentation coupled with PIN’s robust first-party data set is expected to provide a competitive advantage as the Company looks to monetise through new channels. An initial referral has already progressed to advanced stages of discussion.
  • SingleCare – A partnership launched with this Boston-based prescription discount card company offers savings on prescription drug purchases to PIN’s community. This partnership strategically aligns with PIN’s model of offering its members free or discounted goods and services for trial, while managing to connect the core sampling offering to its expanding health-focused vertical.
PIN is currently in partnership discussions with other digital strategy and marketing services companies to boost monetisation and member numbers.

PINCHme.com Inc. is seeking to raise up to $1.0 million via the offer of 10,000,000 new CDIs at $0.10/CDI under its current live Entitlement Offer shortfall (s708 Sophisticated Investors Only). The Company intends to raise total of $2.4 million via the Entitlement Offer and there is approximately $1.0-1.4 million committed to date.
